INGREDIENTS
It's no accident that Airloom’s ingredients read more like a shopping list for your local farmer’s market than something you'd find in a drugstore. These five active ingredients were thoughtfully chosen for their unique abilities to support a healthy immune and respiratory system. Together they deliver a powerful blend of bioflavonoids, polyphenols and oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes to help you ward off the effects of airborne seasonal irritants.*
With backgrounds in medicine and public health, we decided to take matters into our own hands when we hit a wall with conventional medicine. That's why we specifically designed Airloom to restore the body’s balance, not address symptoms.
Organic Quercetin
Quercetin is found in apple peels, tomatoes, cherries, kale, green tea, black tea, onions and many other foods.
Quercetin is full of antioxidants, which may help maintain cardiovascular health, normal stress and blood pressure levels, healthy skin, immune balance, and lower inflammation.*
It's a remarkable flavonoid because it helps stop the downward-spiral caused by airborne irritants like pollen by supporting a healthy histamine response in the body.*
Organic Grape Seed Extract
Grape seed extract contains high concentrations of bioflavonoids with amazing compounds that inhibit the enzymes that form histamine in the cells. This means grape seed extract can help your body maintain healthy histamine levels when we’re faced with seasonal stress.
Grape seed extract has also been studied for other uses including blood pressure regulation, improved circulation, lowering cholesterol, and preventing mental decline from aging.*
Organic Bromelain
Bromelain is an enzyme known to help reduce swelling and pain in the nose and sinuses, so you can breathe a little easier.* It also supports the body’s absorption of turmeric.
Bromelain has been used as a therapeutic approach in the treatment of chronic inflammatory, malignant, and autoimmune diseases. It has strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.*
Before you head to the grocery store, know that eating pineapple or drinking its juice doesn’t supply a large enough dose to be effective. Bromelain is mostly concentrated in the pineapple stem. (Sorry, that occasional slice in your mai tai won’t do the trick.)
Butterbur Root Extract
It may sound like a magical drink for wizards, but you don’t need a wand or a broomstick to reap the benefits of butterbur.
A member of the sunflower family, butterbur has been used for over 2,000 years to treat a variety of ailments, and has been shown to promote a healthy immune response to seasonal irritants.*
Butterbur was once used for plague and fever, and in the 17th century it was used to treat cough, asthma, and skin wounds. Now, it has been used for urinary tract symptoms, stomach upset, migraines, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), and other conditions.*
While it’s the only ingredient in Airloom that’s not organic, it is certified to be free of pyrrolizidine alkaloids, also known as PAs (trust us, you want no part of those).
Organic Turmeric
If you like curry, you’re no stranger to this well-known ingredient and its deep golden hue. Turmeric has been used for centuries as a spice and medicinal herb.
Its restorative powers come from a special compound called curcumin, a potent phytonutrient that supports many vital systems in the human body. Curcumin blocks free radicals while stimulating your body's antioxidant defenses. Curcumin is also known for its potential to support healthy brain function — just the thing for that springtime funk caused by seasonal irritants.*
Breathe A Little Easier
Not all grape seed extract is created equally. Depending on its origins, there are wide variances to be found in its quality. That’s why we looked far and wide within the U.S. to source the best possible ingredients. In fact, four of Airloom’s five active ingredients are certified organic. But we didn’t stop there.
Airloom is created in the U.S. by an FDA-registered manufacturer under stringent quality control guidelines. We voluntarily have every batch tested by a third-party laboratory to ensure its purity and efficacy. And you can also rest assured that Airloom is entirely all-natural, vegan, soy-free and gluten-free.
